The Council of Ministers approved the draft of final accounts of the state's general budgets for the years 2019 and 2020, and the draft of its linking laws, submitted by the Minister of Finance, Salem Saleh bin Brik. The Council of Ministers, during its meeting in the interim capital, Aden, today, headed by the Chairman of the Council, Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik, directed the Ministers of Finance and Legal Affairs to follow up the necessary procedures to refer the final accounts of the state’s general budget 2019 and 2020 and the laws linking them to the House of Representatives, for discussion and completion of the constitutional procedures for approval. The Council praised the efforts of the Ministry of Finance in preparing the final accounts in these exceptional circumstances within the government's program for financial reforms, stressing the continuation of these efforts to raise revenues, rationalize spending, maintain the public budget deficit within safe limits, and finance it from non-inflationary sources. The Council of Ministers also approved the project submitted by the Ministry of Finance regarding the issuance of debt bonds during the years 2016 - until October 31, 2022 , based on the minutes of the meeting of the Government Bonds Committee, in order to reduce dependence on overdrafts and regulate public debt. It formed a committee of the Ministers of Finance, Civil Service, Industry, Trade and Legal Affairs and the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, to prepare a list of candidates for the Supreme Committee for Tenders and Auctions, and to prepare a vision to align the work of the committee with the priorities and existing needs within the program of the path of government reforms.
